Hello there, thank you for visiting my blog!

I thought that I would introduce myself in this first post as an addition to my about page, just so we can really get to know each other :)

I think the best way to this is to explain my story of how I came about creating this blog and why.

Career Background

I have come a long way since my graduation from college in 2014. I had graduated with an associates in graphic arts and really didnt know where I wanted to go with it. There are so many oppertunities in the graphic world and I only came to realize that as I tried to deside where to go for further education.

Meanwhile...

In my last semester I had taken an intro to biology course, and LOVED it. I have always enjoyed finding out how things work and where they come from. So I then had a new door open for me that I had never expected, which led me to exploring biological illustration and graphics.

Growing up is hard work.

I dont know about you all, but college for me is both an exciting and threatening experience. I love learning new things and having so many oppertunities, but I can't help feeling like it all happens to fast. I did go to an amazing private college and studied both art and biology. However, after the second semester I realized that biological illustration wasn't for me. Something about it just felt...wrong.

So back to the drawing board I went. (Oh im so punny!)

At this point I could literally feel time ticking away and was way more stressed to find "my perfect career" than I should have been. Thankfully summer came around and so did a little bit of sense ( Lord knows I need more of that). I realized two very important things:

1. Life might be short, but rushing into something usually doesn't end well.

2. I don't have to fit into a "career mold", I can take a path unique to me.

Back to present time...

So now that you know what has lead me to creating this blog, I will answer the why.

With my past attempts at blogging, I never aloud myself to be transparent and really connect with a community. I don't want to only blog about my life experiences and interests, I also want to read about yours! In short, I created this blog to connect with others.
